The NUgene Project is committed to protecting the privacy of all website visitors. We intend to abide by the privacy rules and regulations of medical/health information that apply in the United States. Our website practices and policies regarding visitor privacy are described below.

Information Collected

Our system collects information about the origin and site navigation of website users. This information is used to compile statistics on website use to help us improve our site. We do not collect identifying information from visitors of the website unless a request is submitted for information, such as requesting an enrollment appointment. The NUgene website does not currently use "cookies". A "cookie" is a text file placed on the browser of website visitors to track patterns of website use.

Use of the Information

The information collected on website use patterns is used to improve our website and make it more useful for visitors. Any identifying individual information (such as name or email address) provided by website users will be used only as requested by the visitor.

Information Sharing

NUgene will not sell, share, or release any information about website users. However, we may disclose information when legally compelled to do so.

Information Request Forms and E-mail Security

NUgene is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, we store the personal information you provide on computer servers with limited access that are located in controlled facilities. Additionally, when you submit personal information to us via online forms, we protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

However, please remember that e-mail is not necessarily secure against interception. If your communication is very sensitive, or includes personal information like your Social Security number, you might want to send it by postal mail or call us at 312-695-0700 instead.
