Get Involved with the NUgene Project!

Would you like to help further the goals of the NUgene Project? You have already taken the first step by contributing your DNA and health information. Here are a few options for you to consider:

* Apply to be a member of our Community Advisory Committee. The Community Advisory Committee consists of a diverse group of individuals representing different segments of the Chicagoland area population. If you think you'd like to help NUgene by reviewing our marketing materials, discussing the ethical issues associated with the project, and helping the staff understand the lay person's thoughts about genetic research, then this may be the option for you.

The Community Advisory Committee meets on a quarterly basis in the evenings and is a one year commitment. If you are interested in this committee, please contact us for an application by calling 312-695-0700.

* Do you consider yourself a good public speaker? Are you willing to be an ambassador for the project? Would you be willing to share why you became a participant in the NUgene Project? If so, we occasionally have the need for people to speak to the media and to other groups about why they were interested in becoming a participant.
